Connect your AI Employees to any tool with a public MCP server

Give your AI Employees access to almost any tool your clients already use. If the tool has a public MCP server, you can connect it to Business App yourself, without waiting for a native integration.
Bring the tools your clients use to their AI Employees
You can now connect any public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server to Business App. Add the server's URL, sign in, and give its capabilities to an AI Employee, which can then use them in conversation.
  • Connect any public MCP server from Business App
  • Sign in with an API key or OAuth
  • Each connected server appears as its own integration card on the Integrations page
  • Add the server's capabilities to any AI Employee and use them in chat
Why it matters
Business across industry verticals use far more tools than any integration list can cover. Until now, if a tool wasn't on the list, AI Employees couldn't work with it, and you had to tell clients to wait for a native integration. Now, when a software vendor publishes an MCP server, you can connect it the same day. That means you can:
  • Say yes to more
client requests about the tools they already rely on
  • Build AI Employees that take action
in a client's own systems, not just answer questions
  • Stop waiting on an integration roadmap
to deliver value to niche or industry-specific clients
Who it's for
  • Partners building and configuring AI Employees for SMB clients
  • SMBs whose day-to-day tools aren't on the native integrations list
  • Agencies serving niche or vertical industries with specialized software
How to get started
Requirements:
The tool must have a
public
MCP server URL, plus an API key or an account to sign in with OAuth.
Connect the MCP server
  1. In Business App, go to
    Administration > Integrations
  2. Click
    Connect MCP
  3. Enter the public MCP URL
  4. Give the integration a name
  5. Choose how to sign in:
    API key
    or
    OAuth
  6. Enter the API key, or sign in and approve access for OAuth
  7. Your new integration card appears on the Integrations page
Give it to an AI Employee
  1. Go to
    AI Employee
and open the AI Employee you want to configure
  2. Add the capability from the MCP integration you just connected
  3. Save. The AI Employee can now use that capability in chat
FAQs
Q: Which MCP servers can I connect?
A: Any MCP server with a public URL. Private or locally hosted servers aren't supported.
Q: How do I sign in to the server?
A: With an API key or OAuth, depending on what the tool's MCP server supports.
Q: Who supports the connected tool if something goes wrong?
A: The tool's vendor. How well a capability works depends on the third-party MCP server, which Vendasta doesn't control or support.
Q: Can I use one MCP integration with several AI Employees?
A: Yes. Once connected, you can add the server's capabilities to any AI Employee.
Q: Do I still need native integrations?
A: Native integrations stay available. MCP lets you connect tools that don't have one yet.
